چکیده

Energy is a need of society and industry which increasing every year. However, the world's oil reserves continue to run low, so development renewable alternative energy needed. One new energies that can be developed vegetable fuel or biofuel. Biodiesel type biofuel being widely produced recently. The cetane number determines quality biodiesel. Solketal an additive added biodiesel increase number. ketonation reaction was used in this study obtain solketal. In manufacture solketal catalyst needed speed up conversion. Phosphotungstic Woifram Acid (PWA) heterogeneous chosen because it separated from solution. Based on results study, optimal time for making 4 hours highest conversion at temperature 60oC with constant reactant mole ratio 1:3:1 percentage 2% catalyst, 66.7%.

Synthesis of quinolines from glycerol over tungstic acid functionalized mesoporous KIT-6 catalyst in aqueous medium

Mesoporous tungstic acid functionalized KIT-6 has been synthesized through a condensation of (3-chloropropyl) triethoxysilane and Si-KIT-6 followed by substitution of chloromethylation functionalized KIT-6 by sodium tungstate dihydrate. The synthesized tungstic acid functionalized KIT-6 (W-KIT-6) was characterized by low and wide angle X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), N2 adsorption-desorption ...

Synthesis of the Fatty Esters of Solketal and Glycerol-Formal: Biobased Specialty Chemicals.

The caprylic, lauric, palmitic and stearic esters of solketal and glycerol formal were synthesized with high selectivity and in good yields by a solvent-free acid catalyzed procedure. No acetal hydrolysis was observed, notwithstanding the acidic reaction conditions.

Periodic Mesoporous Organosilica Functionalized with Sulfonic Acid Groups as Acid Catalyst for Glycerol Acetylation

A Periodic Mesoporous Organosilica (PMO) functionalized with sulfonic acid groups has been successfully synthesized via a sequence of post-synthetic modification steps of a trans-ethenylene bridged PMO material. The double bond is functionalized via a bromination and subsequent substitution obtaining a thiol functionality. This is followed by an oxidation towards a sulfonic acid group. After fu...

Removal of Lead Ions from Aqueous Solution by Sorptive-Flotation Using Limestone and Oleic Acid

A simple, rapid and economic procedure was presented to remove lead(II) from aqueous solution under the optimized conditions. It is based on the sorption of Pb2+ ions from aqueous solutions onto limestone fines (LS), which is an inexpensive and widespread over the globe, followed by flotation with oleic acid (HOL) surfactant. The different parameters (namely: solution pH, sorbent...

Effects of catalyst pore structure and acid properties on the dehydration of glycerol.

Hierarchical porous catalysts have recently attracted increasing interest because of the enhanced accessibility to active sites on such materials. In this context, previously reported hierarchically mesoporous ASN and ASPN materials are evaluated by applying them to the dehydration of glycerol, and demonstrate excellent catalytic performance. In addition, a comprehensive understanding of the ef...
